Award-winning writer and Latina blogger Maria de los Angeles of Sex on the Beach and Blanca Stella of the Mi Caminar blog are the organizers behind the first ever HeartCamp in South Florida. The new event, modeled the ad-hoc BarCamp where geeks and other technology aficionados gather to share ideas, will consist of curated talks and open discussions on all “all matters of the heart — the creative, physical, spiritual heart, as well as love, sex and relationships,” says de los Angeles.A number of social media platforms and leaders have joined HeartCamp as supporters including the Social Media Club of Miami, the South Florida chapter of LATISM and Hispanicize.
Successful Hispanics scheduled to speak include Blanca as well as novelist Anjanette Delgado, relationship coaches Arnie and Michelle Roza of Heart’s Desire International, Dr. Elizabeth King of the International Holistic Center, TV show host Jeanette Kaplun, historical romance novelist Michelle Marcos, yogi and neuroscientist Gabriel Montes and Social Media Club Founder Alex de Carvalho.
HeartCamp takes place on February 4 at the beautiful Hyatt Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale. Tickets are $30 which includes lunch as well as coffee and water service all day. A cocktail reception follows with discounted drink and food at Pelican Landing adjacent to the conference venue. Registration is required. The deadline is February 1.
