I became interested in the D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) scene ever since learning about how to make your own iPhone solar charger.
DIY is a great concept and has been around since the 1950′s, but with blogging and technology it has enjoyed a renewed interest. Even the mighty Microsoft bowed to DIY’ers by releasing a developer’s kit for its Kinect remote device after seeing and unable to deter hackers from using it for its inexpensive motion detecting capabilities in many applications and robotics.
Apart from hacking, tech and robots the DIY scene can be very practical and simple like redoing the kitchen floor, do it yourself rooftop gardening, or your own Angry Birds plush toys.
What do you make?
